Pottinger has added the new TOP 842 C centre-swath rake to the top end of its range of centre-swath rakes. Pottinger claims the new model guarantees high productivity, best ground tracking and excellent manoeuvrability and has a working width between 7.7 and 8.4 m, twhich makes it a high-performance centre-swath rake for professionals.
The headstock features a yoke connection to the tractor linkages and a practical PTO shaft holder and hydraulic hose boom. The TOP 842 C allows a turning angle of 73 degrees to give good manoeuvrability with the rake.
On the TOP 842 C Pottinger offers an adjustable cam track with the largest diameter of 420 mm and a tine arm bearing spacing of 700 mm. The tine arms are easy to replace using just two bolts. The new rotor unit has higher power, strength and reliability at the same time as ease of maintenance. Despite the rotor diameter, the transport height remains below 4 m without having to remove any of the tine arms. Using the hydraulic working width adjustment system, the two rotor units are moved into the correct position for folding ready for transport. Both rotor units are also locked in the transport position.
Warning signs with lighting and mudguards are provided as standard equipment, and wide 340/55-16 road tyres for safe and rapid transport.
As an option, a flow splitter and individual rotor lifting system with hydraulic interlock catches are also available.
